Kari De Leeuw

DVM, VSMT, CVA, CIVT

Dr. Kari De Leeuw graduated with honors from Cornell University and received her veterinary degree from UC Davis in 2002. Her career includes a post-graduate internship at Pilchuck Veterinary Hospital, in WA where she specialized in chiropractic and acupuncture.

Kari is certified in Veterinary Spinal Manipulative Therapy (chiropractic care) from the Healing Oasis Wellness Center and holds an acupuncture certification from IVAS. She also uses Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine, learned mostly from the Chi Institute.

As an athlete herself, Kari enjoys nutrition and keeping her patients as comfortable and strong as possible. She earned her Certification in Clinical Integrative Canine Rehabilitation from CIVT. At Coastal Holistic, she is known for putting most animals on a nutrition plan and sending clients home with massage and exercise homework for their pets.

Kari is very compassionate about helping her patients have the best life they can, whether they are puppies, or older dogs with arthritis or cancer. Having a calm gentle way with the animals and a pocket full of treats almost always helps win them over.

She enjoys exercising, spending time with her boys and caring for her horses Jordan and Cody. With the help of her family, she enjoys fostering (and sometimes keeping) rescue dogs like Frito that had a rough start.
